A problem worth solving

In a corporate environment, people work on many different devices (desktop, laptop, and mobile devices) and use many services to access and process corporate data (ERP, CRM, CSM etc.), use office applications (word processors, spreadsheets, etc.), store and retrieve data (cloud, NAS), and communicate (email, messaging, etc.).

When any of these services are interrupted or unavailable, users will create a support ticket to report the problem or more likely they’ll phone up the IT helpdesk! In case of a corporate-wide service interruption, the number of calls and tickets will swiftly inundate the helpdesk.

Solving the problem

What you want to do is inform users timely of an outage or (scheduled) interruption before they notice anything is wrong. This helps manage expectations and productivity. In the meantime helpdesk teams can focus on fixing the problem instead of splitting their time between customer service and technical problem shooting.

    • An attractive banner or ticker, with icons and colours corresponding to the status
    • Delivered and displayed on every device, covering all active and open windows
    • Messages disappear only when the user acknowledges reading it
    • When systems are in hibernation- or screen-lock mode, messages appear at activation
    • Depending on screen size, the banner is static or scrolls to deliver the full message
  • The Azure agent requires very little resources to ensure all messages are received
